It's known for a fact that an average skater's diet isn't the best an athlete, or a gourmet for that matter, can have. Usually, between fast-food and brews for the most part, eating healthy isn't quite a general motto. Then again, rules are meant to be broken. Food-wise, it feels like Dominik is here to prove cliches wrong. A few useful years spent in a proper cooking school have helped indeed the Austrian to be legit when it comes to handling pots and pans. Having dinner with Dietrich when he cooked it ? " People end up licking their fingers ", a well known Biarritz-based skate photographer swears. Nothing is impossible in skateboarding. Even that.
More seriously, Dominik's chef skills reflect a more general attitude the Austrian exudes : commitment. When he decided to do something, he'll do it, and do it good. For instance, he is rumored to be one of the finest experts in the noble art of going on tour in a camper, a la Borat, whom he imitates to the perfection. Skateboard-wise, often accompanied by his partner in destruction Conhuir Lynn, the guy never talks about tricks he might do or that he will try. He'll just go for it, on the biggest double sets, rails, transitions or more –not lacking style on any of these terrains. He even once impressed another king of non-concession, American legend and Zero skatebords' boss Jamie Thomas in person. That's how Dom jumped the Zero train, a train that doesn't pass through town too often, to say the least. Which again proves that nothing is impossible. Nothing. Even being a certified skateboard-chef hailing all the way from Austria, only to end up on one of the most elusive board companies in modern skateboarding...
